If I wait and see exactly what I need I can't order online because the time it takes to ship. Before the book gets to me there's a good chance I would have needed it in class. In the future I'm going to try and use the textbooks on reserve at the library to try and avoid this catch-22 situation. My first semester I purchased every single textbook during the first week just to be a "serious stupid." I ended up being seriously stupid because most of the profs didn't even require the textbook because they either posted all of the notes or completely deviated from the textbook. Buy your books online after your first class. Sometimes you find out you don't even need to book because the professor doesn't use it. I used to save money on food by asking my friends who had meal plans to feed me. At my school, students living in certain dorms were forced to buy meal plans.
