In the long run it helped me finish a semester early. Getting done early can save you a lot of cash that would otherwise be spent on rent, food, etc. If I didn't take those summer courses I would have been there an extra semester taking only two classes. Would have cost me quite a bit! Another thing to consider is taking some online courses at another college to fulfill your general education requirements. That can help you finish faster too.
