So my midterms have been completed and guess what? It’s time for me to go away again! I will be heading to the Dominican Republic on Tuesday (Feb 17) morning. Now I know that all of you will be thinking how can someone that writes about personal finance spend money on travelling twice a winter? It’s simple, I practise what I preach and read online to make extra money. How do I make extra money? Well this is where the good news comes in. All week while I’m away I will have a few posts up outlining how I make extra money and a post about whether experiences are worth the price. Yes even though I will be laying on the beach while the posts go live, it will feel like I never left. Time to list the best articles from the week (in my opinion of course).
Jeff at Good Financial Cents gives us the top 6 reasons high school students think you should invest. I was particular surprised that a few students actually mentioned retirement. It’s good to know that young people these days are actually thinking about retirement.
Pat at Smart Passive Income tells us how to make extra money doing almost nothing. Pat has learned how to make money online at a a very rapid rate. If you are going to listen to anybody about making money online it’s definitely him.
The Smarter Wallet talks about money saving ideas to create a frugal household budget. In today’s economy this is a subject that everyone should be reading about.
Five Cent Nickel tells us how to get a good deal on a new home. A few practical tips for those that are looking into purchasing a new home these days.
Broke Grad Student gives us a list of 5 things to do before moving into a new apartment. The last thing anyone wants is to be in a new apartment with no internet access.
