UFC 100 Brock Lesnar Wins Links Edition

by MD on July 14, 2009

Yes I had to mention the UFC 100 event from this weekend in the title because Brock Lesnar’s win earned me more money than Google does after many months. Since this is a blog aimed at 20 somethings I figured many of you readers at least heard of the UFC 100 event this past weekend. I’m not a gambler nor do I condone taking such chances with your hard earned money, but I was so positive that Lesnar would win against Frank Mir that I was willing to bet anyone that was interested. Long story short I won a little bit of money of this weekend while having a fun time watching a sporting event with friends. Time for the links of the week…

Jeff Rose @ Good Financial Cents talks about taking care of an elderly parent. As our generation gets older so do our parents and it’s important we’re prepared to help them out because God only knows how much they have helped us.

The Financial Blogger shares a “I want to quit my job” evaluation grid. This article caught my eye because every young professional or college student knows how it feels to want to quit a job. In fact I would love to hear from anyone that has never wanted to quit a job in their life.

The Canadian Finance Blog discusses the emergency fund. You guys know the deal- stuff happens in life so you might as well be ready to deal with it financially.

Lazy Man tells us why he hired a virtual assistant. I would personally love to hire one to help me with the technical stuff around here but first I need to start earning some money.

Thanks For Getting This Far

Thanks for the mention!

I’m glad Lesnar won, but I wasn’t sure enough to bet on it. Even better GSP is still the best mma fighter, period!

Congrats on your winnings. Lesnar passes the look test and the performance test. That was a pretty brutal beating he doled out.
