7 Things You Didn’t Know About The Studenomist

by MD on April 1, 2009

Jeff Rose of Good Financial Cents and Trevor of Financial Nut have both tagged me for some meme action. To be honest I wasn’t planning on doing it but after reading a few interesting ones on other blogs I figured I might as well give it a try.

Rules:

  1. Link to your original tagger(s) and list these rules in your post.
  2. Share seven facts about yourself in the post.
  3. Tag seven people at the end of your post by leaving their names and the links to their blogs.
  4. Let them know they’ve been tagged.

7 Things you didn’t know about me:

1. I plan on making tons of money by running Studenomics. In fact I hope to run this blog full time by the end of the year.

2. I hope to have over 1000 subscribes by the end of April.

3. I consider Studenomics to be one of the top 10 personal finance blogs.

4. I do not consume any alcohol at all, in fact I do not even hang out with people that consume alcohol.

5. I believe in working hard all year round without taking any time off unless absolutely necessary.

6. When it comes to television I watch a lot of the history channel and news.

7. I consider myself to be the best looking personal finance blogger out there.

If you actually got offended or took this list seriously… A P R I L  F O O L S !

Alright, alright now that I pulled my little prank on you guys here is the real list of things you didn’t know about me:

1. I don’t think I will ever earn enough of an income off Studenomics to cut back on shifts let alone be full time. I would be happy earning enough money to cover the expenses and pay for a cup of coffee daily.

2. I’m surprised that I even have over 250 subscribers and if I ever reach a 1000 then I will throw a massive celebration and you’re all invited.

3. Top 10? Yea right! I haven’t even cracked the list of most of the rankings out there.

4. No alcohol consumption? I could go a few weeks but not a life time. If there’s one thing I love after a hard week of work and exams it’s to hang out with some friends and drink some beers.

5. Anyone that reads this blog should be well aware of the fact that I love to travel. If I don’t travel twice a year I honestly think I would burnout. When it comes to travel I love to go down south (Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Cuba) and get an all inclusive package where I can relax all week and enjoy unlimited food/drinks.

6. My favorite show at the moment is The Office, just can’t get enough of Michael Scott! One thing you probably didn’t know about me is that besides watching UFC I also love to watch WWE wrestling (I know it’s fake but let the bashing begin).

7. Well maybe this wasn’t a joke.

So that was my lame attempt at trying to pull an April fools prank and also trying to be informative at the same time. I am not tagging anyone because I hate bothering people and plus most of the people I thought of tagging have already been tagged so maybe I’ll go around school randomly tagging people.

Thanks For Getting This Far

If you want 1000, aim to have 10,000. I think you could do it!

I almost wanted to unsubscribe reading that first half :P

But now that I read your REAL list, it is similar to mine, except I thought at 100 subscribers I’d never reach 1400 but I have, and now I’m aiming for 2000, then 3000, then 4000.. and so on :)

It’s possible. Just keep writing solid posts as you always have and it’ll all work out.

Love the blog btw… — added you to my reader :)

Great list my friend, but there is no chance you are the best looking PF blogger. Have you seen me? Come on.

@Nate Thanks for the inspiring words man. For better or for worse I’m a very realistic person. I realize that one day I hopefully will have 1000 subscribers but it won’t be soon and when it does happen I really will feel like throwing a celebration.

@Fabulously Broke Wow thanks for the support and for subscribing, I really appreciate it! You got a very nice subscriber count, keep up the hard work.

@the weakonomist You forgot to say April Fools at the end of that sentence lol.

When I got to #4 in the first set I was thinking “Based on his posts I can’t believe I haven’t picked up on his arrogance?!”

Phew. Haha.

I think you will continue to grow, keep up the good work.

I’m not at all surprised you have over 250 subscribers (275 today!). You’ve done a great job and have consistently posted good content. I have full faith that you’ll hit 1000 much sooner than I did. I’m rooting for you!

Hahahahaha… great meme! :) Loved it. And I think Michael Scott is hilarious too! What an idiot. It almost hurts to watch him sometimes.

If you keep posting the great content, your subscribers will continue to climb. If you focus on your writing, you will be fine.

P.S. I am one of those subscribers :)
