So Christmas has come and gone, so what does that mean for me? Birthday time! Yes unfortunately I have what is probably one of the worst birthdays, Boxing Day. Everybody is usually tired from running around like crazy during Christmas and then doing Boxing Day shopping all day, the last thing people want to do is celebrate anything again- until New Years Eve at least. So in general people are usually tired, broke, or getting ready for the end of the year celebration. However, there is always a great group of friends and family that come out to celebrate the day with me and have a few (well few every hour) drinks. For my post today I am going to reflect on how I feel about certain aspects of my life being in my early 20s.
Education: I am very happy with this because I will be finishing up a Business Program at Ryerson University in Toronto next year. Every semester I have been able to receive high grades and even make Dean’s List a few times. Going forward I hope I can continue to achieve excellent grades with the thought of Graduate School slowly approaching.
Career: I am making pretty good money at the moment but I am unfortunately not working in a field that I would consider my career. To be honest I just want to continue making enough money to do all the things I want while paying for my education and saving money. The closer I get to completing my studies the more serious I will become about my career.
Investing: This is the one area that I am the most proud of. I have many many investments in securities which are obviously not the most lucrative in this economy but it is so little of my savings that I do not care too much. The majority of my savings I allocated into my rental property which is a new condo that is presently being built in downtown Toronto.
Other Ventures: Of all of my additional ventures the one that I was looking forward to the most was the launch of this personal finance blog. Now that this blog has been running for a few months I look forward to growing it and networking with great people.
That is all I will go in to for now as I am sure many of you do not care or are too busy doing Boxing Day shopping. If you really wish to know what age I am turning today then please feel free to contact me!

That’s great that you are going to school and starting this blog. One of the most important things I learned early was that educations never goes to waste and no one can take education away from you.
