I am just getting around to read this and it’s a funny post. The funny prize definitely goes to Fabulously Broke because I actually laughed out loud.

Studenomics is fine and I like RateNerd idea about grabbing Studonomics.

Also the reason that the ’stu’ in student is pronounced so even though ’stud’ is pronounced differently is because it has a vowel after it. Hence it’s a longer sounding vowel.

Not to mention the pronunciation of the original studenomics makes it clear that it’s for students not ’studs’ as I would I think of ’studonomics’

Absolutely ridiculous. You know why they mention it? Because it makes them feel better about a somewhat pathetic life they must lead. As mentioned many times above it’s a combo of ’stude’(nt) and (eco)’nomics’.

Whatever, dude. The train has left the station and you have launched the site with the name spelled the way you chose. What you should do now is buy the URL’s with the mis-spellings and have them redirect to your homepage so that folks who “hear” your name can spell it any way they choose.

I think that your current name is fine. As others have commented, it sounds like a perfectly good amalgamation of student and economics. If it were Stud*o*nomics, I think it would still be acceptable, but you would probably have more issues with the occasional wandering band of porn seekers.

@Nate I agree to change my blog name after this much hard work would be a major setback. There are so many other things I wish I could change and believe me my blog name is nowhere on that list.

@Vik Dulat Thanks for asking, exams went well and now I have one more L-O-N-G week left and then another two exams on April 22nd.
