I was looking forward to this laptop giveaway. Now that it’s all said and done I’m both thrilled and upset. I’m thrilled that so many people applied and that one person will be receiving a laptop bundle. I’m absolutely upset about the fact that there were so many great entries and there can only be on winner.
I really do hate this part. I didn’t have the guts to select a winner so I used a bit of personal opinion and random.org. My brother and I selected 10 separate entries each and put them into two separate folders (one for each email). Each entry was given a unique number and placed into the random number generator. And the winner is… (drum roll please):
BIG UPDATE: I have taken the email down because someone created a similar but fake email address to try to claim the prize.
In case you want to rip my head off for not winning do not worry because I will be announcing another giveaway later today. In the mean time allow me to give you some greats news (in case the title didn’t give it away)…

Pretty low of someone to try and claim a prize with a fake email address.
I know that happened with Green Panda Treehouse and yes, it’s pretty low and sad. Maybe you can e-mail the remaining people (Daddy Forever, Gear Diary, etc.) to warn them about this particular individual?

This is a great contest, and it’s awesome of HP and all you bloggers to host it. This is at least the second time I’ve gone back to a site to follow up and found that someone was trying to lie and cheat to claim a prize that wasn’t theirs. I want a laptop so badly that my heart clenches whenever I check back to see who won and it wasn’t me. That doesn’t mean I’m going to think of a way to steal someone else’s prize from them. I’ll just try again. And again. And again. And I will be very happy for the lucky winners.
