Chances are you are surfing the net looking for ways to make more money or how to find that perfect job. Well I will not provide any tips in this article. However, I will give you the most valuable piece of advice- read this article and then get off the internet. In fact completely turn off your computer and leave your home. We as young people waste so much time on the internet that we forget about the basics. What are the basics you may ask?
Go to the bank. Negotiate for those lower those rates or open up that new savings account that you have been talking about for months now.
Go the library. Instead of reading short excerpts or reviews of books you would like to read why don’t you just go to the local library and borrow one book that you have been meaning to read for a long time.
Hand out resumes until you get a job. Instead of searching up ways to find a job online, go print out as many copies of your resume as you have paper and hand it out until someone calls you back. I know that this is not the most efficient method for finding a new job but it beats sitting at home and it’s a good starting point.
Avoid the trap we all fall into. Researching online but never doing anything. Last summer I learned so much but did I apply it? Nope. I would feel so good at the end of the day because I would read so much different information. After a few months of this I realized that sure I may have learned a lot but the information didn’t mean anything until I applied it.
The key message from this brief article is that I want all of you to try one of these items today and let me know how it goes.
