Why You’re Not Getting Laid

It’s easy to mock others.Your friends goes up to the hottest girl at the bar and gets turn down. Haha let’s laugh at him. Well guess what? This friend has probably also been turned down at many job interviews. He also has probably been turned down my numerous beautiful girls. One day when he lands the dream job and dream chick, you’re going to be wondering how he did it.

What does this have to do with personal finance? Just like with dating attractive people and making lots of money, we limit ourselves. From think that we’re not smart enough to wishing we lost more weight. We make up excuses and under-achieve.

This post is going to attempt to relate producing results by applying personal finance basics to picking up chicks. Let’s look at why you’re not getting laid/making lots of money:

Self-limiting beliefs.

Stop limiting yourself. The problem is that we limit ourselves. We see others dating attractive people or making $100K/yr and we think it’s out of our reach. Why? Well it’s not. We all have the same 24 hours in a day and the same opportunities. Some of us set our own barriers.

You don’t believe in self-help.

You read about it but are pretentious. I remember back in high school I would see a dating advice column in the paper and I would laugh. You know, because who needs dating advice? It’s kind of like the personal finance advice column. Who are these losers that need help with managing money? The answer is ALL OF US. We all need help. If you don’t believe in self-development and improving yourself, then you might stay at the same level for a long time to come.

Your credentials don’t matter.

Having an MBA won’t make you a better small business owner or a better boyfriend. Stop thinking that more education/credentials is the way to go. Dating more people and making more money isn’t always logical. More credentials won’t equate better results in either area.

You read and read.

Most of us simply spend too much time on consuming information and not enough time on producing any real results. You can read all the book/blogs out there written by Pick-Up Artists. You can also read every blog post on how-to make money. Nothing will work until you work. You need to stop reading so much and apply a portion of  the information that’s already out there. Chances are that you have enough information. You just need to apply it.
