Hauling a backpack 20 miles a day with rain and callused feet just to see how far I could get. I was once "locked" up at a resort in Hawaii for a week where it was impossible to escape (for lack of transport). All one could do was to shop in the gift shop, swim with the dolphins or in the laguna, and eat in the 20 different restaurants. I spent most of the time there in my room. Unfortunately for me and fortunately for the great readers of this blog it has pretty much become an addiction, hence why I brought my laptop for the first time ever on vacation. The first few days I was too busy drinking and eating to turn it on but the last few days I have found spare time. The resort has wifi and it takes me about 10 minutes to get ready for dinner. The negative is that it takes a girl about an hour to get ready. Which is why instead of watching tv I have chosen to spend my downtime on my blog. Believe me when I go on vacation I usually only call home once, do not even consider bringing a cell phone/laptop, and do not even think about the real world.

I mean isn't that what a vacation is about? I shut off my cell phones and laptops. I just want to take a break from the "real" world and have fun some.
