Let’s talk about how you can start making more money right now. What’s the big secret? What can you start doing right now to increase your income?
You need to solve problems.
I find that there’s too much misleading information on the internet about making more money. I believe that making money and finding a solid business idea is about solving problems. You need to find a pain and solve that problem. You also need to find people that know that they have a problem and are willing to pay to have it solved.
I’ve invested lots of money in self-development over the last little while. From buying every book in the world on entrepreneurship to investing in the Eark1k course, and now the Hustle Project. One key takeaway from every piece of information that I’ve consumed is that you need to solve problems.
How can you solve problems?
Think of what you’re good at.
What can you do that people care about? I don’t want you to even think for once second that you’re not good at anything. We all have marketable skills. If you think you’re not good at anything, that’s just lazy thinking. I challenge you guys to brainstorm a few things you’re good at.
Let’s make this a bit simpler. The best ways to find out what you’re good:
- Write down 5 things that you would do for free.
- Write down a few things that you think about all of the time.
- Write down a few topics that you find yourself thinking about all of the time.
I guarantee you that from this list alone you’ll think of at least three important and marketable things that you’re extremely good at doing better than anyone else alive.
Find a problem.
There’s many problems out there that you can start solving right now. I’ll dive into a quick and simple example. Is your favorite blogger posting less frequently? Maybe this person is too busy. You can approach them and offer to write articles on a weekly basis for a specified cost. This is just one common example for all of the aspiring-freelance writers out there. Simply put, if you take the time to explore, you’ll find many problems out there that need to be solved.
Offer a solution that people care about to that problem.
If you find a problem that intersects with something that you’re good at, you can easily provide a solution. Once you think of the ideal answer you need to find a way to get in touch with these people. Your goal should be to get in contact with anyone suffering from the problem that you can cure. These people must also have the resources and desire to want to resolve this problem. The rest will fall into place.
Once you learn how to solve specific problems that people care about, everything else will become a minor detail. You don’t need to worry about how many Twitter followers you have and how your business cards look. You just need to get started
Have you helped anyone solve a specific problem recently?
