Are there online jobs for students without investment money to get started?
I don’t want to be one of 60 million people on the ‘net writing about how to make money online because everyone thinks that those sites are a scam.
However, I love to talk about making money online because it’s one of the most amazing things that you can do with your spare time in your youth. If you can make even one dollar online, you’ll be ahead of your buddies that spend all day on Facebook creeping girls that they have no chance with.
One of my favorite articles that I ever wrote is about how you can start an online business in 6 easy steps. I wanted to expand on this today and talk about online jobs f or college students.
By default, I feel the need to write about making money online once in a while, since I do make money online and lots of my friends ask about how this can be done. I also noticed that one of my most popular pieces is still the one about the best online jobs for college students.
So how can a student with no money to invest make money online?
I list out the options that worked for me.
Start freelancing.
As you’ve probably noticed by now, I love the idea of freelancing and making extra money on the side.
To save you some time and so that I don’t repeat myself (I’ve been known to do that), I suggest that you ready my piece on how to become a freelance writer right now.
For now I wanted to highlight some of the comments from the last time I wrote about online jobs for college students.

I specialize in writing articles and product descriptions. The last descriptions I did for cellular factory got me $120. You can also create a webpage for a fee on the site and advertise your business.
And don’t worry about getting cheated. Freelancer.com has a a legal department that will settle all disputes after reviewing all evidence. Just remember that the minimum payment on freelancer is $30. It is a rule of the site.
A large percentage of my online income actually comes from freelance writing. I wouldn’t change this for the world because I love what I do and I love to see you guys keep more cash in your pocket.
Perform some sort of a unique service.
You can also create your own job as a student by offering some sort of a service.
I was reading about this the other day at 20s Finances and stumbled upon this little nugget of information on using Fiverr to make money:
A friend of mine offered to sing people ‘Happy Birthday’ in German for $5. Last year, he made close to $1,000 just for signing the song!
In a similar note, many years ago, a reader who eventually turned to full-time blogging left the following comment here:
I’ve actually looked into becoming a virtual assistant. I’m keeping it as a backup option if I ever hate my job enough to leave.
What I’m getting at is that if you can perform any sort of decent service online, you’ll be able to make money as a broke college student looking for beer money. Just please don’t limit yourself and try to explore all options.
Who knows, you might even build enough of an income to pursue online work full-time as I’ve been working on ever since I finished my studies last year.
Those are the best ways that college students can make money.
